Cloudcroft, New Mexico

A mountain town that has always felt like home.

Welcome to Cloudcroft

Long before we ever dreamed of living here, Cloudcroft was part of my family's story.

From childhood vacations and unexpected road trips to buying a home, collecting vintage treasures, and discovering some of our favorite restaurants, this little mountain town has changed our lives in ways we never imagined.

Whether you're planning your first visit or you've been coming to Cloudcroft for years, you'll find travel guides, restaurant recommendations, hidden gems, and the personal stories that made this mountain village one of our favorite places in the world.

Follow along as we share the places, people, and stories that keep calling us back.

Every Story Has a Beginning

Before we ever packed a moving truck, there was another story to tell.

How a canceled vacation, a spontaneous detour, and a perfect September afternoon changed everything.

Wood-fired pizza at Ski Cloudcroft
Where we Love to Eat in Cloudcroft

Great food is one of our favorite ways to experience a destination. These are the Cloudcroft restaurants we find ourselves returning to again and again.

  • Mad Jack's Mountaintop Barbecue- Blake says it's the best brisket he's ever had. I'd have to agree. Just be prepared to wait in line.  Read our Mad Jack's story →
  • Cloudcroft Brewing Company - Pizza tastes even better at 9,000 feet. Great beer, great atmosphere, and one of our favorite casual stops.
  • Ski CloudcroftYes, we're sneaking this one onto the restaurant list! For a few weekends each summer, the ski lodge serves incredible wood-fired pizza made right in front of you. Save room for a slice of homemade pie.
